During the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland, they translated the name to Irish Gaelic to "Sinoid". If Edward Synnott(our only ancestor)arrived in Anse-aux-Griffons,when did some future generations settle in Wakeham? For the Bujold and other Acadian origins, I thank Bona Arsenault.

Particulars: These people are my great grandparents. I have info on Thomas who was born there on 9 APril 1878 and it appears Christine (?) Chevarie was born on 4 Aug 1881 (Not sure)Christie, as Thomas called her returned to her place of birth, the Islands every second year for a visit. So far, no one can tell me who she is, who her parents were or when her and Thomas married. They were in Pugwash, Nova Scotia for the birth of my Grandfather, Thomas in 1909.
