Gaspe Connection: Simpson family
Town/Village/Area: Gaspe
Primary Family Names: Alvin Simpson, Charles Simpson, Harold Simpson
Secondary Family Names: Irene ?
Time Period: 1895 to 1924
Particulars: looking for info on Alvin Simpson who moved to US and was living in Boston. Mass by 1930 census. He shows to be born abt 19 mar 1905 in Canada. His wife Irene shows born in Nova Scotia. They had a son named Harold Charles Simpson who is my father in 1929 and prob named after family. My father said once he thought his father came out of Quebec. My father held dual citizenship in us and Canada. He moved later in life to Weston, Ontario. Alvin is buried in Independance. Mo. and is where I was born. 1930 census of Boston shows Alvins family came from England to Canada. He was a baker by occupation in 1930 Boston Mass Census. I am suspecting he came from Gaspe as the Alvin from there had brothers and family named Charles and Harold Simpson by name
