Primary Family Names: Ohare |
Secondary Family Names: Mahar |
Time Period: 1821-1900 |
Particulars: I will start with my direct link to John and Mary Mahar. As documented on the website, John and Mary had a daughter Bridget. She married Thomas O'hare. Thomas O'hare and Bridget had 8 children, Catherine (1862-1878), Emily (1864-1883) , George Albert O'Hare (1866-1937), Mary Elise (1871-), Joseph (1874-), Mary Ann ( 1876-1889), James O'Hare (1878-), John Elias (1879-), and Thomas G O'Hare (1868-1949). Thomas G O'Hare is my greatfather.
Per a document created by my grandmother Thomas O'Hare came to the US by stagecoach. Before coming to USA he delivered mail by stage coach in Canada. When he came to the USA he first worked in up state NY in lumber camps. He arrived in Springfield MA around 1892. He became a meat cutter. He married Margaret O'Connor. I have attached a copy of their wedding certificate, which includes the names of Thomas O"Hare and Bridget Mahar. Additionally, i have attached copies of the Canada 1871 and 1881 census which documents the O'Hare Family.
Thomas O'Hare and Margaret O'Connor had one child, Eileen Marie O'Hare, my grandmother. She was born in 1898. USA Census form attached. Eileen married John Joseph Sullivan of Springfield MA, in 1926. My father John J Sullivan Jr. was born March 3, 1927.
That is a brief description of the O'Hare line. I have access to many pictures of the O'hare family. If you would like them. |
